So everyone here went on a trip this week. I had an interview at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, and Erin had a conference to attend in Bethesda (she took Ginger with her). She just got on the plane and is her way home now. I returned last night.
Albuquerque is nice. It's climate and geography remind of central Utah. It's smaller than Salt Lake, but not much. Next to Albuquerque are the Sandia mountains, which should be good for biking, and there is a small ski resort, but nothing like what we are familiar with here in the Wasatch.
I really liked Sandia National Laboratories. Everyone there really likes what they do, and everyone was quite likeable. They showed some of their test facilities. They have some pretty amazing stuff out there, like the rocket sled track and ballistics testing. They didn't do any demonstrations though due to the fact that most everything they work on is classified.
Today I had no baby to take care of so I went skiing. The snow was pretty good. Brighton goat about 6-9 inches. I didn't stay long. I get bored skiing by myself, and I usually go on a whim, so it doesn't work out well. Also, the best skiing at Brighton is the side country which shouldn't be done alone. I didn't take any pics of Albuquerque or skiing, so here's an archive photo of me skiing:

Yes, I was in some french movie devoted to monoskiing. Pierre Raisson is my stage name.

Sheesh - I didn't know about your early balding. Sorry - that's quite a road through the middle of your head.

ps - I want more Ginger pictures.
